" Our large family of 20 stayed in both cabins between Christmas and New Years. We had not been together for a couple years since COVID, kids are almost all full grown and we needed space that a hotel just can't provide. These cabins worked SO perfectly for our family. The owners have thought of everything. For instance, we used the 40-cup coffee percolator every day! The kitchen had every single thing we needed (including such things as a meat thermometer). There are common areas on each level in both cabins where we could spread out and not be on top of each other, but could gather for meals and activities in the bigger cabin. The cabins are so beautiful, especially decorated for Christmas. When you walk in, there is soft lighting and music playing and you instantly relax, and take in the gorgeous open views out the windows. All in our family raved about how wonderful and perfect it was for us. My sister-in-law commented on how all the details created a fantastic "ambiance." My 21 year old nephew said he loved all the Christmas trees. Everyone enjoyed this venue and we got lots of love and credit for finding it. Would love to be there in the summer, too, to experience kayaking and other outdoor activities. We did walk around the lake, had the annual cousin football game, got into the small town of Wahoo to the meat locker and some of the small bars. We conducted a wine tasting and a sushi-rolling class, and had lots of other meals, games, laughter, traditions and discussions. That's another thing; tables were provided so that we could seat everyone (20) for meals in a U-shape. Just can't say enough about what a great experience it was!"

"The Sto-Nee Ridge Cabin was the site for our Annual Planning Meeting at the beginning of October for our company.  Ten of us from different areas in the state met here for an intensive two days.  Not a single thing has been overlooked, from the kitchen to the bathrooms, to the back patio.  We all soaked in the crisp air on the patio, drank in the serene beauty and laughed around the fire pit.  We couldn't have asked for a better location to host our group.  I'm looking for every excuse to get back as soon as possible (and I live in Saunders County)!

" Highly recommended!  My husband and I, our 4 adult children, spouses and 6 grandchildren (ages 4 and under), stayed at Sto-Nee Ridge last week.  We always prefer to stay in homes when we travel and this home was by far the best one yet!  The setting was beautiful and it is very well stocked with anything you might need!  There were 15 of us and there was plenty of room for everyone.  The back porch was wonderful and is where we spent most of our time when we were there.  It is only a 45 minute drive to the amazing Omaha Zoo and a short drive to the town of Wahoo, where we bought groceries at the Sun Mart and meat from the Wahoo Meat Locker.  The Wahoo Aquatics Center was another great find on a hot afternoon for the grandchildren (and adults).  We also scored some great sweet corn, peaches and strawberry rhubarb bread from the Wahoo Farmer's market.  The playground by Lake Wanahoo was a short walk away and a hit with the grandchildren as well.  Linda was very helpful throughout the process; very prompt with responses to all of our questions and a great resource for information!  Overall, we couldn't have asked for a better place for our families to get together.  As we left, we all agreed, we will definitely be back!"

"Was the most magical vacation to date. House and accommodations were comparable to a high end hotel, but better with all the special touches; unique soaps, art work, decor and all feel goods of home. The property was exceptionally clean and well cared for. Best of all was the owners hospitality with eagerness to please. The view was breathtaking, instantly putting you at ease...we will be back as it is a close getaway for our families!"

"Perfect might be an understatement!  Thank you Rick & LInda for such a beautiful space to host our out-of-town family for our daughter's First Communion.  From the design that encourages conversation to the fabulous vierws of the lake to the fully equipped kitchen- every detail was taken care of to make hosting our family stress-free! We had a tremendous experience and I am so thankful to have this resource locally to host family and friends."

"Rick & Linda thought of everything!  We stayed at the Naw-Tee Pine cabin and this house was beautiful.  The layout was amazing.  The house was fully stocked with everything you could need.  They had games, toys and books for the kids.  The tepee was amazing too and a favorite with the kids.  You had a view of the lake from almost every window in the house.  We had 3 families stay and there was more than enough room and things to do for an extended weekend.  We hope we can go back some day!"

"My friends and I just spent the weekend at Sto-Nee Ridge.  What a great house!  Great owners!  Fabulous location!  We had a wonderful time, it was so relaxing.  The Christmas decorations are such a nice homey touch.  We didn't want to leave!"

"We rented the Naw-Tee Pine cabin for the rehearsal dinner of our son and his fiance. It was the perfect place to enjoy the family.  The owners were so kind to recommend us catering and kayak services.  We enjoyed the lake and the awesome landscaping.  The beautiful cabin was big enough to entertain 20 guest comfortably seated.  Definitely it was the perfect place, secluded but close enough to all the things you might need."

Gorgeous Home With A Serene Setting - perfect for families!
We had two families meet at this location for 5 days and had a wonderful time. The house is beautiful, clean and accommodated two families perfectly (plus grandparents!). We took advantage of the fishing and kayaking within walking distance and the local swimming pool was a hit with the kiddos. The best part was relaxing on the back porch, playing frisbee in the yard and reading stories in the teepee. It was a wonderful place to unwind and catch up with family. We hope to be back soon!

Home Away From Home
The whole process of renting this house was very easy. We appreciated Linda's call & the information received re: the local area before arriving. The house is in excellent shape, clean, beautiful & very well decorated. There is a full bath on each levels, making it very convenient. We like the well equipped kitchen. We love the large gas grill at the deck & there is a charcoal grill at the lower level. The lower level is great for family gathering, games & watching a movie. There is an advanced sound system that you can control with you smart phone, or play the music from your phone. The ground was maintained immaculately. We watches birds with the binoculars provided. The view of the lake was very nice, with an excellent sunrise view from the master bedroom, thanks to Linda's reminder. We intended to rent this house for the outings to Omaha daily, so we did not explore the lake by the property. There are two kayaks for the residents, but we did not take advantage of it. We recommend you visit the Wahoo Meat Locker & enjoy a great steak grill like we did & do not forget the tasty Wahoo wieners. Overall, this house provided us a home away from home & enjoyed our vacation without any stress.

Tranquil Family Retreat
This property was amazing! My kids' favorite aspect was the trail that led down to the lake. There is a biking path around the lake and a wonderful fishing dock. Loaded with all the amenities, this home will not disappoint.

The Gathering Place
Floor to ceiling, wall to wall, Spencer Hill Cabin is full of distinctive country charm. It was a perfect venue for our family gathering. We walked in to be greeted by a welcome sign and soft music playing throughout the cabin and on the deck. Linda and Rick told us the only thing we needed to bring was our food and beverages, so true! The kitchen is fully stocked. The three bathrooms had an ample supply of towels and toiletries. The bedrooms are comfortable with luxurious linens. Above all the entire cabin was impeccably clean and well cared for! The grounds are beautifully landscaped. There are large open areas for yard games which are provided along with kayaks and life jackets. Our family loved the peaceful surroundings with beautiful views of Lake Wanahoo. We enjoyed bird watching, visiting by the campfire and walking down the wooded path to go fishing on the dock at the lake. We had a grilling contest with uncle and cousin teams (two grills are provided). We played cards on the large tables, and the kids could relax with a movie on the big screen TV. Younger adults had an adventure sleeping in the wood floor teepee. This was an experience like no other...We highly recommend Spencer Hill Cabin, a place to gather and make wonderful memories!

Fantastic getaway location, clean + cozy house by the lake
I don't know what I was more impressed with--the house itself or how well Linda took care of us. She answered all of our questions, offered suggestions, and was there for anything we needed. The house itself was exactly what we were looking for--very clean, plenty of space, and some amazing views. It was perfect for our small group (10-12) for a few days, and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a great little getaway. Omaha and Lincoln are both only a short distance away, but you also have the calmness and tranquility of a quiet, private stay on the lake. We absolutely loved it!

The property is beautiful; the home is thoroughly stocked!
Everything a foodie would desire in the kitchen; nice bath products; blankets in a basket by the back door; board games, etc. Beautiful view. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Serene Beauty!
Spencer Hill Cabin is everything you could want in a peaceful getaway. It also offers activities, if you are so inclined. Situated on Lake Wanahoo, the views of the lake are panoramic from every window. We have seen several deer in the yard. There is a full sized teepee located on the property for the kids to play/sleep in. There is also a path leading directly to the lake for a walk, fishing or a spin around the lake in the kayaks available at the cabin. Neighbors aren't far but not visible as the vast property is surrounded by large trees. The cabin has a very open floor plan and a LOT of space yet offers many quiet bedrooms. The decor is magnificent - capturing the beauty of the woodsy retreat with all the creature comforts of home. It is impeccably clean and every detail has been taken care of. You will want for nothing! Whether you want to watch TV on the large flat screen downstairs, play board games from a large stash, curl up with a good book, grill on the generously sized deck, enjoy the outdoor firepit or relax in front of the fire - Spencer Hill has it all. We have been going twice a year and plan to continue that trip for many years to come. We only live 30 minutes from Spencer Hill but feel we are hundreds of miles away and come home refreshed and relaxed - without paying the price of an airline ticket! We HIGHLY recommend Spencer Hill and know you will love it as much as we do.
